"We had a large party for lunch and everyone was ecstatic over the food and service. Waitress was kind, cheerful, quick, and came by our table just enough so all our needs were taken care of readily.
Crabcakes (broiled) were almost entirely lump crabmeat with no filler - they were delicious! Clams on the half-shell were fresh and perfectly opened. Maryland crab soup was full of crab.
However, the absolute best dishes at this place are the stews. Where else in the world can you get a clam, oyster or box stew? These seem to be South Jersey specialities that Cap'n Cats have been concocting for over 40 years. If you can tolerate milk, you MUST try these huge bowls of wonderment.
All-in-all, this place is tops for super casual dining on delectable shellfish."
"Came in on a Wednesday afternoon, I ordered the King Crab, Lobster Tail, and Crab Cake dinner, all very good. 10/10 would recommend. Service was great. Loved the music."
"Food is amazingly good. Prices seem a little too inflated =\ staff is always nice. The AC was out so it was a little hot but not unbearable."
"First off, the place is nothing to look at. Take that away, and you have some really good seafood at realistic prices. The platter I had was crab leg combo, snow, Dungeness, and king. All delicious and look at the size of that king crab leg! Great lobster bisque too – topped with crabmeat. Bisque cup, $4, crab leg combo, $32, can’t beat that."
"I order fried flounder to go religiously. Their seafood is always fresh and top quality and staff is always nice. People that work there seem to really like their jobs. Their prices are good and they never went up when inflation hit. McDonalds across the parking lot is like $9 for a QP Hamburger vs Fried Flounder dinner @ Capn Cats is $14."
"Staff is so friendly and very attentive to everyone at their tables. I love their food! The food is fresh and tastes really good raw, fried, steamed, broiled! It’s all amazing The service is fast and pleasant. I highly recommend and will be back again!"
